Whether large or small, every claim payment Colonial Life makes is a promise kept to our policyholder and the beneficiary - whether it helps pay for final expenses, sends a child to university, or creates an inheritance.

We are unremitting in our commitment to each of our 450 group health and life clients, whose 150,000 members depend on us for prompt and efficient health and life claim settlement. Our knowledgeable claims adjudicators utilize a best in class claim payment system to easily process approximately 4000 claims per month, with an average turnaround time of 10 days, well within industry standards.

One of our major priorities is our monthly obligation to our 14,000 pensioners. With monthly payments of $15 million, we ensure that we hold to our promise to secure their future payments. We currently administer 180 employer-sponsored pension/annuity arrangements with approximately 10,000 active members and funds in excess of $1.3 billion. We also maintain a portfolio of over 9,000 deferred pensioners whose benefits will be paid to them upon their eventual retirement or to their nominated beneficiary upon their earlier death.
